Job Advert Summary
- To lead the Trade Team and serve as the custodian of the Trade Strategy informed by the CVP to maximise PnP’s trading potential. To own the Trade agenda and work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to articulate and deliver the operational and financial implications of the Trade Strategy.
Minimum Requirements
- Chartered Accountant or Relevant Business Degree
- Minimum of 5 years Retail/FMCG experience in a Functional/Commercial role
- Business planning/Forecasting experience is essential
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Power Point), SAP, BI

Duties & Responsibilities
- Continuous improvement of Trade Strategies to maximise the potential across Banners and CVPs
- Track, manage and understand the forward-looking trade phases and develop trading tactics to capitalise on market opportunities
- Evaluate market trends and competitors to identify threats and opportunities – present findings, projections and recommend actions to the respective stakeholders
- Integrate the Trade strategies with the business, and lead the Corporate trade budgeting processes and forecast.
- Develop bespoke tools and methods to help PnP optimise trade

- Ability to perform regular performance, financial, market and competitive analyses for insight for strategic decision-making and identification of business opportunities
- People skills – Ability to work together in a spirit of co-operation and cross-functional teams

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
