Function: Sales Clerk
Candidate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Admissions / Patient Accounts
- Greet and welcome walk-in patients and explain the triage procedure
- Admit walk-in patients onto the practice management application
- Process a patient validation to confirm medical aid details (real-time medical aids only) via the benefits checker website
- Request the patient / guarantor to sign the appropriate terms and conditions
- Bill account with correct tariff code and ICD 10 codes onto billing software as detailed by the practitioner
- Remit cash payment/ credit card receipts from the appropriate cashbook to the patient / guarantors account
- Submit account to medical aid
- Collect any patient liable amounts
- Issue the patient / guarantor with a tax invoice and receipt for visit
- Capture daily statistics for the practice

Qualifications and Experience:
- Matriculation certificate
- 3+ years’ experience as a Practice Administrator
- Practice reception management skills required
- Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Excellent frontline communication
- Trustworthy
- Team player
- Positive Attitude
- Accepts responsibility
