Reporting to the Head of Finance, and working closely with our founders, you’ll contribute to OfferZen by enabling us to achieve our rapid growth and expansion plans by setting us up with best practices by simplifying and reducing our risks.
What You’ll Do As our Legal Counsel, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with multiple OfferZen stakeholders on the following:

- Fundraising, drafting, and reviewing agreements.
- Corporate Structuring to maximise value for Shareholders.
- Cross border transactions and reserve bank approvals
- Working with Operations on Standard Terms & Conditions and helping reduce friction to acquire new business
- Understanding legal requirements of new markets as we expand in Europe.
- Privacy and working with Operations & Product teams to ensure compliance with GDPR & POPIA.
- Employment contracts including Share Option Agreements and Equity Structures.
- Proactively supporting general risk management.
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you:
- Are an LLB, Admitted Attorney.
- Have 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Have experience working in South African, African & European jurisdictions.
- Have proven experience working with multiple stakeholders outside of Legal including Investors , Board of Directors, Venture Capital Firms.

- Are detail-oriented whilst remaining practical
- Have the ability to translate business requirements into simple, complete contracts.
- Have strong communication skills to explain complex legal terms to different stakeholders
- Have excellent written and verbal communication.
- Have critical thinking skills. • Have confidence to make decisions
- Are independent and able to work remotely
- Have experience with various Privacy laws and able to work with Product Teams to understand data flows.
