Job Purpose
To perform various manual tasks and duties to deliver effective maintenance services within the EThekwini Municipality.
Key Responsibility Areas
Excavation work,
Operation of handheld machines and tools relating to such work,
Cleaning
Digging trenches and holes cutting grass
Loading and off -loading materials and equipment.
Weeding, watering, performing traffic warning duties.
Clearing blockages in pipes, drainage systems and sewer systems.
removing rubble and solid waste •Shovelling sand, compacting sand, levelling and sweeping. painting, street sweeping, litter picking, washing vehicles, and other equipment, placing road signage.
Essential Requirements
Basic numeracy and literacy i.e. an understanding of basic written words and number recognition.
Preferred Requirements
An appropriate level of primary education.
