What does the Data Processing team look like?
This team is responsible for supporting our Accounting Associates so that they can create accurate financial statements for our clients. This is done through data entry and addressing errors within our in-house Bench App. This team works together to pick up and complete tickets from a shared queue of work to ensure SLAs are met, and to provide exceptional service to our clients.
What you’ll get up to:
Once you’ve gone through training, in a typical week you’ll spend approximately 90% of the time processing statements, 5% of the time communicating with Accounting Associates, and 5% of the time in meetings or training. The work will include
- Working with a group of team members to review and work with data from bank statements, and other data-entry tasks for our bookkeeping teams and their clients
- Taking tasks from a shared queue and working through them, with an emphasis on speed and quality
- Using Excel, macros, formulas, and other tools to transfer information from PDF statements into easy-to-categorize spreadsheets for our bookkeepers
- Troubleshooting problems and brainstorming and implementing changes to improve our current processes
- Collaborating with other teams to investigate and resolve blockers

What you’ll need:
- Impeccable attention to detail
- You enjoy data entry, and repetitive, detail-focused work
- You enjoy working independently within an equally focused team
- Excellent Excel skills, and it’s even better if you have a familiarity with Macs!
- You’re able to keep yourself focused and motivated during slow periods
- You approach problems with a curiosity mindset and feel comfortable asking questions when something doesn’t make sense
What you’ll get:
- This is a 6-month contract, starting Jan 2023 and running until June 2023. You will be required to work full-time hours, Monday – Friday.
- At Bench, we share information freely and openly whenever possible. The total annual earning potential for this role is $45,900 with a component of these earnings made up of variable pay. This would be pro-rated to the length of the contract. There is also a bonus of $1000 for completing the contract.
