Job Advert Summary
To provide onsite analytical services, sampling for accredited Laboratory, analysing, interpreting results, calibration of laboratory instruments, making up and standardising of reagents, audit and plant inspection services for filters, monitor ISO 9001 quality system in the laboratory as part of the Station Chemist compliance responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Water Care and Analytical Chemistry
- Grade 12/standard 10 with Mathematics and Science plus 2-year laboratory experience
- Computer literacy in word and excel

Primary Duties
- Conduct Sampling
- Correct reagent added daily
- Analyse and verify Raw Chemicals
- Take core sample, observe and record air distribution
- Advise Maintenance to sterilise if algae is found on sample points and issue report to immediate Supervisor
- Record Instrument reading
- Calibrate and verify instruments according to specific procedures
- Interpretation of data and manipulation of data into required information
- Perform general housekeeping
- Risk Management
