The appointee should:
- Be in possession of a Grade 10 / Standard 8 / Equivalent NQF Level
- Competent A Certificate
- Be in possession of a valid Load Haul Dumper (LHD) Certificate and License (Certificate of Competency)
- Have experience in a production or mining environment and basic development principles
- Be highly motivated and be a self-starter

- The incumbent will be required to work shifts
- The post is dependent on successful completion of the Company’s pre-employment protocol such as qualifications verification, relevant psychometric assessments and clear security clearance
- Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk-based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre
Advantageous requirements:
- Grade 12 / Standard 10 / Matric or equivalent
- Minimum of 4 years’ practical experience of operating an LHD in a Trackless underground mining environment
- Code EB / C Driver’s license
- Be in possession of a First Aid Certificate

Key responsibilities:
- Does a pre-use inspection of the Drill Rig by means of a checklist and report deficiencies to Supervisor / Mining Supervisor
- Effective and efficient Loading, Hauling and dumping of Blasted rock using correct techniques and line with standards, procedures and safety protocols
- Assist to do basic repairs on equipment
- Achieve production targets through safe and effective operation of the LHD
- Comply with Company’s standards, policies, procedures and safety initiatives
- Effective self-management in alignment with Sibanye Stillwater values
- Ensure effective utilization of equipment
- Perform all duties related to the position
