Description
Our Retail Team has a new and exciting opportunity available for a creative, enthusiastic, and driven Junior Designer to join the current team in a rapidly growing Leisure Clothing division. This position will work closely with the Head Designer on our Leisure brands (Poetry & Old Khaki) in adherence to the Cape Union Mart Group standards.

Requirements
Experience & Qualifications
- Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Design is essential
A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role within a design environment is required.
Previous experience working in a retail environment is advantageous
Working knowledge and experience with Coral Draw or Illustrator is non-negotiable
Working knowledge of Microsoft office and Outlook is essential
Preference will be given to candidates with an understanding of garment construction/manufacturing
Will be required to travel within the Region and therefore a valid driver’s license and own vehicle is advantageous
Competencies Required - Ability to take direction and follow instructions from the Buying Team and Creative Lead
Team Player
An eye for colour and a good understanding of colour theory
Well-spoken with effective communication skills
Ability to work independently and use initiative
Resilient and tenacious in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Ability to prioritize, manage your time, maintain high levels of drive & initiative while under pressure
